In my day job, I’m a graphic designer responsible for the advertising for the company I work for. One day not so long ago a fax came through that was handed off to me. The very church I was abused in was inquiring if we would like to place ads in their parish bulletin!

My colleagues must surely have noticed the insane peals of laughter that came from my office, but none was brave enough to inquire…

Dear sweet merciful Mother of God, what an opportunity!

Of course, they never would permit me to put my kind of ad in, but it made me think: What would I say, if really given the chance?

After long thought, the ad posted above is what I came up with, graciously rendered by Wendy.

My point is, just as no priests have ever been excommunicated for sexual abuse, no, not even the truly monstrous, as far as I know, no church has ever been formally exorcised and spiritually cleansed due to sexual abuse. And that’s a lot of churches out there, folks.

Yes, dear friends, bloody rape and the spilling of bodily fluids desecrates houses of worship. Or so it does for ordinary worshippers. For satanists, the greater the desecration, the more tension there is between good and evil, the more the power of evil is enhanced.

Of course, such cleansing rites could be held very discreetly. No one need know. After all, the Church would not want to admit their sanctuaries have been so grossly defiled, unless it really intended to clean things up. In which case, public rededication and penitence would be the way to go. You can judge the Church’s commitment by how many times that’s ever happened…

I pray to God that the churches have been cleansed, however secretly. But sometimes in the dead of night, I find myself wondering. What if the Hosts were being kept locked in the golden prison of the tabernacle, just so Jesus could be abused too? What if the churches were being deliberately kept defiled?

I wish I had some reassurance. But it’s like mundane politics — either the leadership is incompetent, evil, or both. Unwilling or just plain stupid. And in any event, it’s the people who will pay the price.
